Handyman Service Agreement Summary
Welcome! To ensure clarity and professionalism in every project, here’s a brief overview of my service agreement. This sets expectations for both you (the client) and myself as your handyman.
Scope of Work
I provide a variety of home repair and improvement services, including but not limited to:
✔ General repairs and maintenance
✔ Carpentry and custom work
✔ Minor plumbing repairs (within legal limitations)
✔ Painting and drywall patching
✔ Outdoor maintenance and fence repairs
For specialized tasks requiring licensed professionals, I will coordinate and/or refer you to a trusted expert.
Pricing & Payment Terms
✔ Pricing varies based on scope and complexity. Standard hourly rate is $65, but larger or specialized jobs will receive a custom quote before work begins. I also charge a minimum 1 hour for Bozeman and Belgrade visits, a minimum of 1.5 hours for Three Forks and Livingston, and a minimum of 2 hours for Big Sky. Or, $65, $97.50, and $130 respectively. These prices may change in the future.
✔ Payments are due upon completion unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods include cash and check.
✔ For larger projects, a deposit and owner materials purchase may be required before work starts.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
I understand that schedules can change, and I strive to be as flexible as possible. However, last-minute cancellations make it difficult to fill openings, so the following policies apply:
✔ Standard Jobs (Up to Half-Day Work) – Requires 12-hour notice to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellations (less than 12 hours) may incur a $32.50 fee (half of one hour’s rate).
✔ Same-Day Flexible Jobs (Short Tasks) – Requires 6-hour notice to cancel or reschedule.
Late cancellations (less than 6 hours) may incur a $65 fee (equal to one hour’s rate).
✔ Large Projects (Full-Day or Multi-Day Work) – Requires 48-hour notice due to material prep and scheduling impact.
Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) may incur a $130 fee (two hours’ rate) to cover lost time and planning efforts.
Work Guarantee & Liability
✔ I stand by my workmanship and ensure all tasks are completed professionally.
✔ If you encounter an issue with the completed work, please notify me within 14 days for review and resolution.
✔ Liability is limited to the services performed. Clients are responsible for maintaining proper property conditions.
